Caressable European Hair Superior to Yucky Asian (and African) Hair

A number of my Korean American friends/acquaintances/students have parents in the wig business. I remember in Korea, beauty salon specialists telling me with pride how beautiful (ippun) Korean hair is, the best in the world, in characteristic Korean hyperbole. I had a friend with such strong, shiny hair that some little old white ladies would always ask if they could "touch it" as if it were a strange and wondrous alien element.
